Jasmine and her friends Frank
and Ivan live at the Volunteer Park
Conservatory in Seattle, Washington. The folks who work there sent in her
picture and story. Here's what they have to say: "This 13-year old female
came to us from the Seattle Animal Shelter as a kitten. She is the head cat
around here at the Conservatory and the other two follow her lead. She loves
food, catnip and Frank. If she feels we are not giving her enough attention,
especially at lunch time, she likes to nip our ankles!" (Note: 13 years
old as of August 99).
Note: Jasmine passed away in a gardener's arms Sunday morning July16 after
a brief illness. Everyone at the conservatory misses her terribly.
